When Is A Good Time To Apply For Clerkship Harrison:[00:00:00] Hi Harrison, I'm doing a clerkship which will end in August of 22. Should I also apply to openings into law firms now? As firms, should you hire someone or should I reach the firms even if they don't have openings at this time?
Typically, when you have a clerkship people will apply at different times but law firms typically hire clerks at the beginning of the year. I would say November is probably a good time. People will start applying when they have clerkships now. Other people will wait, and apply later on as a clerkship and it's closer to ending, but most clerks are not hired a response to openings they're hired because a law firm wants to hire a judicial clerk and they anticipate having to work for them when their clerkship's over.
You can apply for clerkships when you have a clerkship as soon as now. I think when I was clerking, I didn't apply for jobs until maybe, June or something. But, I know my Coke Clerk was applying as early as now and probably got a job in the fall.
