Having A Law Degree Open Doors To Lucrative Career Options
[00:00:00] Do you have a resource guide of industries/ careers, which are relevant to attorneys that do not involve the practice of law?
There's an article that I wrote a long time ago, 'Different things you can do with a law degree', but I recommend, there's a lot of personality tests out there. You can take a lot of personality tests and free ones.
What I recommend doing is, take a free personality test to get a sense of the kind of stuff that appeals to you. I can't tell you what's a good career for you. What I can tell you is, most attorneys that I know, go into alternative careers and choose something that they'd like, do very well.
I know attorneys who became famous cooks. I know attorneys who are running very successful exercise studios and I know one woman that's running a Bikram yoga studio. I know people that do all these different, fun things and you can too. There's nothing stopping you from doing all sorts of different things.
I certainly would recommend to take a personality test but you have to do whatever it is that interests you. You can be a contractor. You can be in the skills you get, being an attorney, can make it much better.
I think someone should [00:01:00] always consider alternative careers if they're unhappy. Because there's a lot of them.
