What Happens to Corporate When Markets Crash Speaker 1:[00:00:00] You mentioned corporate is in demand. How would you describe the demand for corporate associates over the...
Yeah, there's much more demand now. There's just much demand now for corporate associates as there's ever been.
They're very in demand. And because there's so much demand, law firms are hiring people that they normally wouldn't hire. And that's something to keep in mind. That is just something to think about. But yeah, definitely corporate is very much in demand right now. But the thing I would say about corporate, I know I've said this in other meetings, but I don't think I said it today, is what happens with corporate is corporate gets very busy and then it typically gets extremely busy and then all new attorneys start going into court because there's so much work and law firms that hire them want them to be corporate attorneys. And then the market generally at some point will crash.
And then when the market crashes, it's not good. They're just over capacity or something. It doesn't look like it's going to crash right now. It looks like it's going to keep going forever. But that's how it always is when it's good, it looks like it's going to always keep running forever. They thought that about the housing market, they thought about everything. But there's a lot of demand for it right now. But at some point it's definitely going to slow down. And so when it does slow down, it becomes very [00:01:00] difficult.
I'm seeing a lot of demand for corporate right now. And law firms are aggressively hiring corporate attorneys. The best law firms are hiring people from top, 150 schools, even that weren't at the top of their class and so forth that they have experience. There's a lot of demand right now. And if you're looking at multiple markets then that's probably a good idea.
