Why You Must Show Up and Don't Miss that Interview
[00:00:00] I was called for an interview by a midsize firm, but the firm could not complete the interview because of a technical issue, and they couldn't hear me vice versa. Finally, one of the partners asked me to do a follow-up with this assistant, On the next day, I learned that only one ream my resume and called for an interview, and other partners decided not to interview me. I thought it was very unprofessional and less respectful towards another professional, precisely about the excuse they gave to me. However, I felt lucky I know about the firm's culture. But still doing a follow-up on my resume...
You can still interview them. Just because some partners didn't want to interview you or something. You don't know. So you just have to take the stuff. If I got the interview, I would go in. Just because some partners don't like you. You can always prove yourself. I know lots of people that are hired by firms where they learn after the fact that several people were against hiring them and then those people, and then that person is ultimately hired and then gets along with those people later.
So just because someone saw your resume and didn't like something, it doesn't mean that they're not going to like you ultimately. You shouldn't worry about it.
