The grades you earn in law school will have a lot to say about where your career goes. For example, if it's clear from the beginning that someone has exceptional talent then they may be able get into Big Law with lower scores than other candidates despite having weaker academics because their skill set stands out more prominently - but even then things are unlikely ever go smoothly for this person due all competition being so fierce!
