In Harrison's Q&A clip, he discusses whether or not hiring a professional resume writer is a smart move for young attorneys.
Harrison argues that, in most cases, it is not necessary. He explains that professional resume writers may need help understanding a law firm's perspective. Their advice may be biased toward individuals who have attended prestigious schools or worked at big firms.
He suggests that hiring a professional resume writer may be a viable option if a young attorney feels like they are in crisis. However, he cautions that it can be risky as human biases may influence the final product.

I would say, in most cases, no. But if you feel like you're in crisis, then maybe you can.
Most resume writers don't understand things through the same goggles that a law firm's looking at things, and they just see in their eyes. When humans look at things from a certain point of view, that's not good.
So often, they'll see professional resume writers saying something like, I went to Harvard Law School, and I worked at this big firm. That's great, but they're only going to see things from the perspective many times, not always, of someone that went to Harvard Law School and worked in big firms. So they're going to think that whatever advice they're offering is unimportant if you're not someone like them.
I hate to say that, but humans bring their prejudices to things, which influences the final product and can be very risky.
