If you haven't heard back from a law firm after an interview, it's likely that they're interviewing other candidates or the hiring process is taking longer.
Following up excessively may not be helpful, but sending a thank-you note or letting them know about another offer could be a good idea.
Don't worry too much about not hearing back as it's usually not a reflection of your interview.

Most of the time, if you've interviewed someplace and have not heard from them, that means one of two things. It means typically that they may be interviewing other people and they're waiting, they may give someone else an offer, and lots of stuff could happen. And so often, when you have an interview and you don't hear anything, it's just that everything is beyond your control.
So it's nothing that you need to worry about if you make a good connection with people. If you like them in the interview, you can send a thank you note. So following up a lot of times is not going to help you. Some may ignore them. Sometimes what you can do, which is nice, is if you get another offer and tell them, you can just say, this is just a quick follow-up. I do have another offer, and I did like you. If they're interested, they'll do something. Typically after an interview and you don't hear anything. It's not that they have gotten you; it's basically that something is going on that you don't have any control over.
