So I get it, people are desperate and the economy's not good. If you don't get a lot of applications out there, you're gonna continue waiting. You need to apply to a lot of places. This is what I do with my candidates. What do you do next? That means they're interviewing other people. What it probably means though realistically, is the law firm is scared about the economy.
You said it's gonna be one week, now it's two weeks. So they're frightened. You may never hear anything, none of this stuff ends. Law firms are frightened about the economy. You need to find firms that have work and have business and can afford to pay you. That's as simple as it is. It's just that's all there is to it.
People unfortunately don't do that. They sit around waiting for job offers, and you can do that. If you contact the firm, you're just gonna remind them that they don't have the work, and that's not going to help you as much as you like.
