Anytime someone's vague about something, they're gonna screw you. So that's just what it is. I apologize for using this kind of language. Sometimes they may be vague and they might be a good person and they just don't really know because they say we didn't commit to this.
So no, you need to get a commitment. That's just how it works. Unless someone's willing to commit to something then they're going to. It's never in your favor and and you're gonna get burned. They're always going to do less than as expected because it's in their self-interest too, and they didn't commit to something.
I'm sorry to put it that way, but I really would urge anyone where there's any form of vagueness to be very careful.
