I think if you are even thinking about this, you should probably stay in the government. I had that experience, I worked in the justice department in Washington, DC my first summer. I couldn't believe how talented, they look just so much more vibrant and happy. To me, it looked like a better life. If I was you, if you're comfortable with the government, not interested in the money, then I would think that would be a good option. But I do think getting the training of a big law firm would be useful for you early in your career.
When you're considering the big law, money and prestige versus sustaining the government work better benefits, I think having the big law experience for two or three years or even four years will make you a better attorney. Will give you perspective and make your shape your mind in different ways that the government would.
