You don't have to put down your major; you just have to put the name of your school. That's the first thing. Firms can pick up on it, but there's nothing to be ashamed of. It's good to have had other careers before going to law school. I think there is some age discrimination in the legal profession, so that may be what you're coming up against, but at the same time, having another career before going to law school.
It isn't that big of a deal. A lot of times, you can put down you went to college and graduated and then put down your legal experience and prior experience. So a lot of times, people will be in one industry so you might have been in the maritime industry or the healthcare industry, or I need to know what industry you were in or whatever the industry is.
A lot of times, you're better off trying to. Go into a career that's related to the industry that you're in before going to law school. Someone in the healthcare industry would do very well trying to become a healthcare attorney. So people like that. And so having sex experience in a particular industry can be very helpful when you try to do that.
