I think that LinkedIn profiles are something I should probably do much better because I have tens of thousands of LinkedIn connections. Is it okay not to have one? Yes. I think it's okay not to have one. I don't know that you necessarily need one; I've heard of many people being disqualified for jobs.
Because of their LinkedIn profiles, someone looks at who they're connected to or their interest, and they're incompatible with the law firm's wants at the same time. If you have a LinkedIn profile, law firms will often look at your connections and things and judge you from that.
If you have a LinkedIn profile, you should work on it and ensure it's good. But yeah, if you have a LinkedIn profile, you should work on it. I remember searching for a law firm looking for partners not too long ago, and they kept disqualifying people and would be like, this person needs to learn more about LinkedIn connection.
Sometimes they don't like that. I don't know why that is. If you have one, I recommend being active and learning about it.
