Litigation Attorney � Insurance Defense (Job Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States)

Duties
Insurance Defense & General Practice
Manage insurance defense cases, including the preparation of pleadings, discovery, and motions. Handle general practice matters, providing legal counsel and representation to clients in various areas of law. Assist senior attorneys in developing case strategies and participating in case preparation and court appearances. Client Relationship Development
Build and maintain strong client relationships, including meeting with potential clients and identifying legal needs. Leverage existing relationships to develop a personal book of business. Litigation & Case Management
Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements. Represent clients in court, depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations. Work closely with clients and support staff to ensure efficient case progression and client satisfaction. Professional Development
Participate in continuing legal education (CLE) to stay current with developments in insurance defense and other areas of law. Collaborate with senior attorneys to expand your practice and gain exposure to diverse legal matters. Requirements
Experience
2-5 years of experience practicing law, with a preference for litigation experience. Strong interest or background in insurance defense and general practice areas. An existing client base is a plus but not required. Skills
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively represent clients in court and negotiations.
